Statue representing a young barefoot woman holding a mandolin in her hands. This charming sculpture was made of terracotta with a waxed patina and bears the signature of Joseph Le Guluche in hollow on the back of the terrace. Joseph Le Guluche was born on September 20, 1849 in Plourivo in Brittany and died on January 24, 1915 in Villejuif in the Paris region. He mainly produced popular terracotta subjects. he was employed between 1879 and 1911 at the factories of L'Isle-Adam where he was the most remarkable sculptor and one of the most productive. A set of his works are kept at the Louis Senlecq Museum of Art and History in Isle Adam. Shipping costs contact us.
