"The Miseries Of War By Jacques Callot"
Very beautiful etching by Jacques CALLOT (1592-1635), from the suite of "Great Miseries of War". This is the plate entitled "Looting and burning of a village", a proof of the IIIrd state/III (Lieure nr 1345, Meaume nr 570). The board measures 8.4 x 18.6 cm; with frame: 26 x 36 cm. The print is in good condition; there are some foxing, however accentuated on the photographs and not very visible in reality. Free delivery in Paris possible.
