18th Century Nancy Dress Wax: Saint Anne And The Virgin

Important frame from the end of the 18th century forming a diorama and composed of a scene in volume protected by a glass.
This is a rare Nancy wax representing the education of the Virgin: Saint Anne and the Virgin Mary.
the two characters are executed in wax and very finely worked with colorings on the faces and hands, take a good look at Saint Anne's eyes, the volume gives the impression that they are made of glass, they shine.
The hair looks almost natural. the two protagonists are richly dressed in silk, damask and lace.
one has the impression that Saint Anne is wearing an ermine breastplate.
the figurines stand out against a black background adorned with yellow silk and red velvet curtains.
there is a significant thickness of these two characters treated in low relief.
the frame in wood and gilded stucco is sober, with a black and gilded molding.
very good general condition despite some small chips of gilding on the frame that we can restore at the workshop.
the left hand in wax of Saint Anne is missing.
