Hussar saber.
France. 1st Empire period.
Brass, steel, leather.
Length : 97cm - Blade length : 78,5cm - Heel width : 3,5cm


Cast brass guard, long-tailed cap with fillets and rivet button. Flat jointing arch, arriving at right angle on the cruise and finished by a faceted button. Handle covered with basane with twisted filigree arranged in chain. Ovoid mounts.
Curved blade with hollow sides.
Brass scabbard with two rings; iron stinger only.

Fairly good condition.
