Miniature representing a bust portrait of a man. Gouache on paper signed Corbin Victor and dated 184? In a rosewood veneer frame (losses on one edge and traces of xylophages) with oval brass surround, curved glass. Vintage label from BINANT stationery, rue de Cléry. Dimensions Miniature height: 13.4 cm, width: 10.6 cm. Good condition. Pierre-Victor CORBIN, painter, born in Soissons on April 12, 1815, died in the same city on July 13, 1850 (French School). The museum of Soissons preserves a View of the port of Soissons (watercolor) and portrait of Mrs. X… (miniature).
