Object description :

"Support Cabinet In Mahogany, Rosewood And Sycamore, By J. Leleu - 1940"
Mahogany support cabinet created by Jules Leleu (1883-1961), French Designer who distinguished himself during the Art Deco period. This Furniture, with two Doors closing with Nuts, is entirely decorated with a Diamond Marquetry in Blond Rosewood. This in-between piece of furniture opens onto an interior composed of a Silverware Drawer in the upper part and three Sycamore Shelves with adjustable heights in the lower part. The Facade, whose original Lock is in perfect working order, is decorated with Mahogany Columns forming the Base. The front feet are turned with a large ball and end in brass hooves. The quadrangular Caisson is underlined with Brass Rods, which highlight the forms of this Property. This charming Furniture Signed Jules Leleu and numbered "23258", is the perfect illustration of the Artistic Style of French Design between the wars.
