Master Freemason's apron in leather with printed and painted decoration.
Imposing symbolic representation composed of the Temple between the columns, pyramid, acacia, nine stars including the blazing star, sun-moon tools and rope.
The triangular bib is decorated with the globe surrounded by the snake, tools and beehive.
This apron model is also called "Voltaire's apron" because Voltaire would have been initiated with a similar apron.
That comes by descent from the family of M.G. Biennais.
Martin Guillaume Biennais (1764-1843) Famous goldsmith, jeweller, table maker to the Emperor Napoleon, installed at 283, av. St. Honoré in Paris was a Freemason of the lodge "l'Aigle Français in Paris)
