Object description :

"Suite Of Four Gondola Chairs In Mahogany, Restoration Period - 1st Part Of The Nineteenth"
Suite of Restauration chairs in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer fitted with an openwork backrest composed of a thin central element in mahogany burl veneer joining a high curved crosspiece of the same species. Each side of the solid mahogany back joins the curved belt ending in a volute pattern. On the top, we find a wooden element with double groove following the curves of the backrest. A firm ball seat in perfect condition with strap and horsehair, having been redone, is covered with a red fabric with wefts. These four chairs rest on two so-called hock legs on the front and two saber legs on the back. The refinement of this suite of bicentenary chairs will undeniably enhance your interior.
