Pair Of Chest Of Drawers In Rosewood Veneer, Louis XVI Style - Late 19th Century

Graceful Duo of Half-Moon Chest of Drawers in the Louis XVI style, designed at the end of the 19th century and mainly composed of Rosewood veneer. On the Top rests a Pretty Carrara Marble of Origin, White, with the edge cut in Gorge. The Front of these Pieces of Furniture, embellished with Bronze, is Elegantly Rounded and opens with three Drawers, each separated by a visible Traverse. The latter feature beautiful Rosewood veneers, deployed in four sheets. They are evenly underlined with Frieze inlays intermingling Filets of Amaranth and Lemon Tree and forming frames. It should be noted that this method of cabinetmaking is reproduced on the Small Collateral doors. Each is equipped with a fixed shelf, thus separating their storage spaces. All these openings are provided with Fittings such as: Pull Rings for the top one, four Attachment handles for the Centrals then Chiselled Bronze entries with Keys and Functioning Lock, for the Side Panels. The lower crosspiece of this piece of furniture is modestly cut, forming a drop in the center, ornamented with a very pretty bronze. The Ensemble rests on a quartet of Sheath feet, all terminated by a Brass Sabot. We will remember the Modest Dimensions conferred on this Charming couple of Commode, which will be noticed for the Quality of its Marquetry. Finesse and Prestance are the key words that describe this Pair of Tasteful Furniture.
