Object description :

"19th Century French School Lovely Oil On Mahogany Panel Little Fish Merchant At Sea Side"
Lovely oil on mahogany panel prepared in the shape of a painter's palette from the romantic period. It represents a young fish seller by the sea leaning against the side of her hinny (a kind of mule) which she uses to transport her fish. She gives the impression of striking a pose, her angelic face and a largely bare shoulder facing the artist. In the background, a city perhaps evoking Venice. A beautiful depth, magnificent colors as well as a real finesse of execution characterize this charming painting which will not fail to seduce you. A favorite ! Dimensions: 32 cm x 46 cm Very good condition. Traces of paint as well as a tiny trace of hanging on the back of the panel (see photo). Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate. Follow my gallery to be informed of new products and to know the dates of the next Salons ... Any questions?
