Large Nain shisla (Iran) in kork wool and silk around 1960, Shah period. Silky lambswool velvet, flowers wrapped in silk on silk foundations. Density approx. 10000 knots/dm2. Ivory field with foliage and garlands of thin stems with flowered palmettes framing a large central rosette with a diamond-shaped flowery crown, pearl grey, ivory and midnight blue. Four spandrels reminiscent of the 3 central medallions, triple borders, the main one beige with interlacing bulbs and stylized flower buds.
