"Chest Of Drawers Louis XIV / Regency. Period Early XVIIIth"
Chest of drawers Louis XIV / Regency. Period early 18th century. Rosewood veneer, elm burl and walnut. It opens with three drawers. The front and sides are curved. The previous amounts are straight and rounded. They are inlaid with alternating vertical fillets of wood and fern. The drawers are in elm burl veneer in double rosewood frames and a central herringbone reserve. The sides are embellished with rosewood lozenges on an elm burl background in rosewood wire and walnut chevron wood frames. The interior of the drawers is in oak and beech. the frame, top and back are fir. The locks are original and functional, fitted with an old key. Original trim in chiseled bronze: handles, keyholes and apron. The top is in Belgian royal red marble with gray and white stripes. It is hectic and multi-lobed, following the curves of a chest of drawers and edged with a corbin beak. Recent buffer varnish finish. Dimensions: W 130 x D 66 x H 83
