Pair of candlesticks after a model by Claude Galle (1759-1815) In finely chiseled and gilded bronze, the shaft surmounted by three heads of a woman in the antique style, resting on a circular base decorated with palm leaves, all with sets of gloss and mat. Height: 25 cm Diameter: 12 cm This model of candlesticks was delivered in 1804 by Claude Galle for the Palace of Fontainebleau, it is described "as 2 pairs [torches] with three heads".
