Pair of portraits representing notables - aristocrats in the uniforms of a police officer for one and of deputy, knight of Saint Louis for the other. These are family portraits intended to adorn a castle at the beginning of the 19th century, most likely the father (deputy) and his son (police officer). Beautiful frames in gilded wood with gold leaf. Restoration period - Charles X, circa 1820-1830. Beautiful set to complete a collection of portraits or constitute a castle backdrop from the neoclassical or Romantic period.
