"Napoléon III Style Furniture With Porcelain Decoration"
This original and precious piece of furniture is a French work from the 19th century, inspired by furniture decorated with porcelain plaques from the second half of the 18th century.Resting on four curved legs, our cabinet opens on the front by two doors leading to a shelf. The lower part of the cabinet consists of a drop-down door that can be transformed into a writing desk adorned with a midnight blue velvet and receiving three small drawers, as well as a larger one in the belt.
Our furniture is adorned with a rosewood veneer applied in diamond curling, and a mahogany veneer for the inside of the cupboards and drawers as well as the back. It also receives small porcelain plaques showing putti on a sky blue background and flowers. The lines of the furniture are underlined by friezes of gilded bronze plants with a beautiful carving, a material that is also found for the realization of the Spanish slips, the locks as well as the clogs.
The cap of our furniture also contains a planter.
The 3 locks work with 2 keys (1 key for the top and 1 key for the flap and drawer).
