Beautiful bronze of neoclassical inspiration representing Athena, Minerva as a child! Sympathetic representation of the goddess of wisdom and child military strategy according to the fashion of painters and sculptors featuring children in adult roles in the second half of the 18th century.
The young goddess Athena or neck brace is represented seated on a fluted column, her shield struck with the head of Medusa one of the three gorgons at her side.
She is dressed in the antique style and wears a Roman helmet in the spirit of the helmets of the Praetorian Guard.
the details are finely processed and the face is charming.
the young goddess carries a branch of laurel in her right hand.
