"Still Life With A Vase Of Flowers, Elizabeth Stanhope-forbes"
The work in question belongs to the Canadian painter Elizabeth Adela Stanhope-Forbes, and can be dated to the beginning of the 20th century, it is an oil on canvas applied to a painting and represents a still life composed of three elements: a vase with three pink flowers, a glass and a bottle, placed on the back of a table.Vivid and bright colors are characteristic of the artist's painting, which has obvious influences from the Post-Impressionism and Pre-Raphaelites. Stanhope-Forbes preferred an "open-air" painting, depicting genre scenes often characterized by the presence of children, all of which gave a particularly tender and romantic mold to his paintings.
The work is in good condition, at the bottom left it bears the signature, while on the back there are labels with the inscription of the name of the artist and a probable dedication.
