Important and very beautiful TABRIZ (north west of Iran) at the end of the 19th century. Early 20th century Decor similar to the Ardebil carpet exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London The star of this carpet is the magnificent ivory polylobed rosette, with a turquoise heart, crowned with majestic ornate petals, placed on a sea field, highlighted in fuchsia, covered with interweaving of plants, multicolored, all in convolutions. Two pendants in the shape of oil lamps, lead us to the ends of the carpet, where stand out in each corner, spandrels taking up a quarter of the imposing central decoration. An ivory border with bluish branches, another with flowers and "tchis" frame the main fuchsia border where ivory medallions and navy cartridges are cut out, adorned with polychrome cruciform floral shapes.
