Portrait Of Louise-françoise De Bourbon (presumed)(1673-1743) Mademoiselle De Nantes, Louis XIV

Very charming 18th oval portrait in fairly good condition. It is probably a portrait of one of the legitimated daughters of Louis XIV, Louise Françoise de Bourbon.

The portrait was certainly restaured in the 19th century.

It is sold with its carved wooden frame eighteenth to restore.

Louise-Françoise de Bourbon known as «Mademoiselle de Nantes», duchess of Bourbon then princess of Condé, is a French princess born on June 1, 1673 in Tournai and died on June 16, 1743 in Paris, legitimated daughter of King Louis XIV and Madame de Montespan.
At the age of 11, in 1685, she was married to Louis de Bourbon, Duke of Bourbon and then became the Duchess of Bourbon (Madame la Duchesse). The couple had nine children. In the 1720s, Louise Françoise built the magnificent Palais Bourbon in the heart of Paris where she spent most of her time. She maintained a certain influence on the royal family and when the dolphin was born, she was asked to become her godmother.
