Cooker At The Office. Mallet? Drolling? flag

Object description :

"Cooker At The Office. Mallet? Drolling?"
SMALL PAINTING (27 X 22 CM) MADE WITH THE FINESSE OF A MINIATURE. AN OLD ATTRIBUTION TO JEAN BAPTISTE MALLET (1759-1839) ON THE BACK WITH A COLLECTION NUMBER. MALLET WAS RECOGNIZED FOR ITS SMALL LIFE SCENES AND RICH IN DECORATIVE DETAILS. HOWEVER, HE WAS MORE INTERESTED IN PAINTING THE ARISTOCRATS THAN THEIR STAFF. IF THERE WASN'T THIS INSCRIPTION ON THE BACK, I WOULD RATHER DIRECTED TO MARTIN DROLLING ( 1752-1817). POSTERIOR BUT OLD BAGUETTE, SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN THE TABLE. RENTOILE.
