"Louis XV Commode Stamped Lardin Epoque Eighteenth Century"
Louis XV period chest of drawers in rosewood veneer on an oak and fir frame, with curved front and sides, front uprights with pinched ribs terminated by arched feet. It opens with five drawers in three rows, a secret drawer is arranged between the two small drawers of the upper row, beautiful quality ornamentation of chiseled and gilded bronzes (slight wear to the gilding), pull handles, keys, keyholes , falls, clogs and apron. She is wearing a royal red marble with corbin beak. Stamped on the top of the right upright LARDIN for André-Antoine Lardin and punch of Jurande JME. Parisian work of the 18th century. Delivery price included for France. André-Antoine Lardin (1724-1790), Parisian cabinetmaker received Master on July 1, 1750. He had the specialty of a rosewood veneer of exceptional quality. Established first rue de Charenton under the sign of "Bois de Boulogne" until the end of the reign of Louis XV, he subsequently installed his workshop in rue Saint Nicolas from 1770.
