Object description :

"Elegant Young Woman, 1760, L-m Van Loo (entourage)."
Very beautiful oval portrait of an elegant young woman of quality from the Louis XV period around 1760 that can be attributed to the entourage of the painter Louis-Michel VAN LOO (1707-1771). French School.
The young woman wears a long and rich string of pearls as a jewel, starting from her right shoulder fixed by a ruby brooch, necklace going around her shoulders then returning from the left towards the arm to finish hanging by a large drop of pearl.
A veil of blue fabric leaves like a knot in her hairstyle, descends in a lively fashion on the right shoulder to attach to the garment by the ruby brooch of the string of pearls.
Beautiful portrait on its original canvas, with its original carved gilded oak frame in very good condition. Old alterations to the garment should be noted.
Dimensions:
Height: 82 cm Width 68.6 cm
Canvas only: height 71.4 cm width 56.6 cm
