Louis XV style gilt bronze fireplace screen. Animated decor with acanthus leaves, curves and counter curves and staples. Central part decorated with a swinging putto. Gilding of very bright origin but having suffered the outrages of fire and smoke therefore altered on many parts. This object is signed on the rear legs of the entwined CC, signature of the bronzier Charles Casier. Napoleon III period circa 1860.
