China, Tang Dynasty Period (618-907), Terracotta Statuette Of Court Lady

China, Tang period (618-907), very beautiful Chinese terracotta statue depicting a court lady commonly called "Fat Lady". Her body is hidden under a loose garment, enhanced with color pigments in shades of white and beige punctuated with black flowers, only revealing the shoes. The face, full and serene, is a beautiful white shade. It is topped with an intricate black-tinted arcuate hairstyle. Height 29.5 cm. Condition: Head broken at the neck and reattached. Shock at the left elbow causing major cracks with loss of material. The end of the left foot is missing (see photographs; other photos are available on request). No thermoluminescence test but the origin and sincerity of this piece are totally in its favor.
