Circa 1845 France Beautiful day dress in sculpted bronze and green shifting silk dating from the end of the Louis Philippe period. Finely mounted waistband with barrel pleats. Skirt fully lined with Indian from the same period. Small original green taffeta yoke on the front intended to be under the apron. Lovely pleated ribbons applied to the sleeves. Buttons in original green trimmings at the cuffs and on the bodice. Front closure with original hooks. Excellent condition of color and conservation.
