Octagonal barrel marked on the upper side: “Address Col. Sam'l Colt, New York, US America ”. Six-chamber percussion cylinder entirely engraved with a naval battle scene that refers to May 16, 1843 when the vessels of the Republic of Mexico and those of the Republic of Texas clash. The men wearing the Texas colors are armed with Colt revolvers. Marked "Colts patent 22982". Oval brass trigger guard, crimping lever fixed to the barrel by a bolt, marbled carcass marked "Colts patent" and "G", handle frame in silvered brass, handle with walnut wood plates. The additional stock is in varnished walnut wood and numbered 22989.

99% original blue finish.
Very good condition. 33 x 47 cm oak wood box, containing a powder bulb.
