"Revolver Pepper "mariette" With Percussion -1839- XIX °"
Pepper-type revolver with 5 removable barrels in damascus steel, from the gunsmith and inventor "Gilles Mariette" in Cheratte, LIEGE, patent of July 17, 1839. In caliber 9 mm. Damascus steel barrels with notch for the dismantling key, numbered like the chambers, smooth interior. Steel frame, engraved with scrolls, round stock with ebony plate, secure with a screw. Hallmarks and marking "ELG" and on the wrist "MARIETTE BREVETE". Mechanism in perfect working order with double action only. Dog without crest located at the lower part of the carcass in front of the trigger. Not very common in small sizes: Length: 19 cm Length of the cannons on the ramparts: 6.8 cm Capacity: 5 shots Caliber: 9mm. Weight: 600 grs.
