Louis Alfred Barye, known as " The Son " , or Alf Barye , born in Paris on January 21, 1839 and died in Paris on May 13 , 1895 .
He is a renowned French sculptor .
Alfred Barye was a student of his father , the sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye .
His work includes animal bronzes as well as orientalist subjects .
He signs his works under the name of BARYE "THE SON" to differentiate him from his father .
He exhibited at the Salon from 1864 to 1882 .
