Gien earthenware vase mounted as a lamp. This vase has been circled at the neck by a bronze crown and it rests on a chiseled bronze plinth terminated by four small feet. The decoration was made over the entire surface in shades of blue and has in its center a heraldic motif composed of a crowned coat of arms framed by two lions and bearing below the words "Pro Deo Et Principe". This motto which means "for God and the prince"; was created for the order of Saint Gregory the Great. Reward granted by the Holy See and founded on September 1, 1931 by Pope Gregory VI in honor of Pope Saint Gregory (590-604) and modified on May 30, 1834. This vase bears the stamp for the period 1875. Electrification is fairly new and therefore works perfectly. Note a slight yellowing of the earthenware at the level of its upper part (towards the neck).
