Monogrammed K D.Karl Daubigny, born Charles Pierre Daubigny in Paris on June 9, 1846 and died in Auvers-sur-Oise on May 23, 1886, is a French painter. A pupil of his father Charles-François Daubigny, who played a key role in the evolution of the landscape during the 19th century and influenced Eugène Boudin and Jongkind, Karl Daubigny made his debut at the Salon of 1863, medalist in 1867.
Pre-impressionist painter of landscapes, he painted mainly Normandy and the forest of Fontainebleau.
