"Regency Hunting Buffet Stamped Jean Laurent"
Régence hunting sideboard in molded and carved oak, stamped J LAURENT. It opens with two arched leaves with deep moldings, carved with shells in spandrels (rear lock), rounded uprights molded and carved with acanthus leaves, paneled and molded sides. This buffet is topped with a Saint Cyr stone (thickness four centimeters). Perfect quality of execution, elegance of the decoration, very great finesse of the sculptures, shells, acanthus, staples, flowers. JME hallmark. Eighteenth century period. Jean Laurent, Master cabinetmaker born in 1706 died in 1766, located rue de Charenton in Paris, specializing in hunting furniture.
