Pair Of Art Nouveau Vases In Ceramic And Bronze Mount, Jugendstil Style By Johann Von Schwarz, Circa 1910 flag

Object description :

"Pair Of Art Nouveau Vases In Ceramic And Bronze Mount, Jugendstil Style By Johann Von Schwarz, Circa 1910"
Pair of large tapered ceramic vases set in a bronze mount.
** Germany, Nuremberg circa 1910-1920
Height: 41 cm / Max. 18.5 cm / total weight: 3.445 g
Beautiful model whose style places its creation in the period of transition between Art-Nouveau and Art-Deco.
Most certainly by Johann von Schawrz; but some references attribute this model to Otto Eckmann.
These vases are illustrated in the book about one of their principal designers, Carl Sigmund Luber.
Indeed we can notice that the flexible forms representing the plant stems are resolutely borrowed from the Art-Nouveau style while the geometric decorative patterns clearly show the premises of Art-Deco.
** Very good condition ** (just to report stains and / or oxidation pitting on the patina).
Don't leave your questions unanswered, we are listening to you.
