Object description :

"Pair Of Granit And Bronze Vases XIXth"
Description :
Granit, chiseled and gilded bronze.

These elegant Louis XVI style vases are placed on a quadrangular base with projections and openings and a fluted pedestal surrounded by a frieze of palm leaves. The granite body carries two elegant sockets in foliage and berry patterns. The rim is a wide and high belt in a frieze of pearls, flutes and leaves. Granite works of art are rare because of the hardness of this plutonic stone. The hollow in gilded brass which was the inside of these vases is still in place, allowing them to be used as works of art and not as lamps if desired. The quality lampshade is in ecru with a large weft and lined.

State :
Excellent condition, gilding revived with gold leaf. New electrification from the inside.

Dimensions:
Height of bare vase: 41 cm, with lampshade: 70 cm, base: 18 cm x 18 cm.
