"Rare Pair Of Modernist Photo Door Frames Art Deco Frame Galalith Bakelite Wood Circa 1925 1930"
Large pair of modernist photo frames from the Art Deco period circa 1925-1930 in glass, galalith and rosewood. The photo is installed between two glass walls which are held in place by a trench made in the two galalith polyhedra facing each other. Each polyhedron is fixed by screws on the solid rosewood plinth. The outer glass has a silver border that acts as a master key and ends in a bevel. The bevel is frosted in order to create a mat / shiny contrast of the most beautiful effect. A beautiful and rare object that will work wonders on a sideboard, a desk or even Art Deco bedside tables !! Dimensions: Supports: 29.5 cm x 7 cm X 1.5 cm high Glasses: 23, 7 cm x 17, 7 cm and 21, 5 cm x 15, 5 cm at sight Diameter of the polyhedra: 4 cm Weight: 2 kg Good condition. All original. These unusual frames are old, have been used and therefore have very slight and normal traces of age and use. Tiny pickling of the silver plating and a trace of oxidation on one of the glasses largely masked by the assembly. A non-through slot on one of the rosewood supports also hidden by the glass, once it is in place. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
