"Takouba" or "Takoba" sword - TOUAREG These straight swords with a cross handle are specific to the Sahelo-Saharan Tuaregs who live in southern Algeria, northern Niger and Mali: each adult wears a takouba which he does not never separates. Many choreographies called "sword dances" are based on simulations of close quarters combat. Beautiful work of forge and leatherwork.
