"Tâs" Basin, in chiseled brass on a black bituminous background, with a convex base and convex wall, with incised decorations and traces of inlays. This "Tâs", originating in Iran and the province of Fars, is dated from the 18th or beginning of the 19th century.Our model presents a decoration of four medallions with epigraphic decorations alternating with calligraphy bands, the whole covered with friezes of flowers and latticework.
These containers, abundantly decorated with marvelous engravings, were the joy and pride of the collections of the princes of that time and the happiness of collectors of Islamic art today.
