"Stamped "b. Maucuy" - Bergère In Carved Stained Beech - Louis XV Period"
Pretty shepherdess in stained beech and carved with acanthus leaves and flowers.
It is based on arched feet.
Very clean tapestry in very good condition, perfectly healthy frame -
no buttress
Stamp of Blaise MAUCUY, master in 1758.

MAUCUY Blaise (1729 - 10 January 1798)
Carpenter in seats.
Having gained the master's degree on July 28, 1758, he settled in the district of Villeneuve, currently Bonne -Nouvelle.
In 1767, he was given the task of collecting goods from the estate of his colleague Jacques-Alexis Gauthier. His studio disappeared before 1782, although he still had a long time to live.
We know of pretty seats signed with his stamp.
