"South India, XIXth Century, Mask Of Shiva Mukhalinga In Bronze."
South India, XIXth century, very pretty mask of Shiva Mukhalinga in bronze decorated at the top of a snake's head. It was intended to cover a lingam, the phallic symbol of Shiva. Small orifices at the ears and at the base suggest that a round rear part was attached to the mask to completely cover the lingam. Uncommon piece of very good quality. The face of Shiva is represented there in all its splendor. Height 12 m. Width 8.7 cm. Good condition. We take particular care of our packaging by using optimum protection.
