Excellent study of quality and condition of the farmer next to the ox with its slender features, located in the farmyard. Professionally reinforced and presented in a maple wood frame. Typical of the works of Thomas Weaver during the period. Literature: The work was used by William Ward in 1812 as an engraving and it was taken from an almost identical composition by Weaver which is now considered lost / destroyed.
