Lucien Mainssieux was born in Voiron in 1885 and died in the same city in 1958 he received a scholarship from the colonial society of French artists he went to Algeria in 1925 and he visited the south and found Marquet. after an interlude in Morocco he went again to Algeria in 1942, and lived in Algiers, Tipasa and Oran it is India ink and located in Kouba which is a district on the heights of Algiers, 6 kilometers from the center
