Edmond Eugène Suau was a french painter, he was born on 4 june 1871 in Mulhouse and died in october 1929 in Paris. He was the pupil of Benjamin Constant, Jules Lefebvre and Tony Robert-Fleury. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1897 onward, he was awarded different medals. Artworks by his hand are held by the Fine Arts Museums of Amiens, Narbonne and Perpignan
