Skaters in the Dutch countryside, oil on canvas dimensions 29 cm x 39 cm, with the frame 39 cm x 49 cm, signed lower left center. Johann Daniel de Gijzelaar or Gyselaar is a Dutch painter born in 1746 and died in 1829. Winter until the end of the 19th century was harsh, but it allowed the inhabitants of these northern regions to be able to have fun by practicing skating or as in taverns we could meet or meet people.
