Ruined Souvenir, Knife For Knight Of Malta Order, 18th Century flag

Object description :

"Ruined Souvenir, Knife For Knight Of Malta Order, 18th Century"
Astonishing reward knife, once offered by an honorable company to Joseph Larcher, of the Order of Malta, as engraved on the blade. The back of this bears the cutlery's mark, and the Maltese cross, containing an engraved boar. The handle is also quite atypical: made from a fawn's leg, it was garnished with a silver shell, the hoof was covered with tortoiseshell and superbly shod from silver.
Dimensions: 22cm x 1.5cm.
