Large engraving full-length portrait of King Charles X after the portrait of 1825 by the English painter Thomas Lawrence which is still exhibited in the Royal Collection at Windsor Palace "Portrait of King Charles in X at the Tuileries Palace, in dark blue uniform laced with silver, wearing the star of the Garter and the Holy Spirit, the Golden Fleece and the ribbon of the Holy Spirit, the garter on the leg, his feathered hat on his left arm "The portrait was edited in engraving in 1829 in England then the rights were taken by Chaillou, the printmaker rue Saint Honoré in Paris. The engraving or print is presented in a beautiful and large frame with channels in gilded wood with gold leaf and bears on the back the label of the print merchant Addé, 15 quai Voltaire in Paris. The frame dating from the 1840s, it makes our engraving an interesting historical object which was produced for Legitmist Royalists "under the cloak" under the reign of Louis Philippe. Large very decorative piece, beautiful gilding in excellent condition which has been cleaned by our gilder.
