Superb oil on canvas "return from fishing in the evening" by Charles Louis Mozin. Painter born in Paris in 1806 and died in Trouville in 1862, he was a pupil of Xavier Leprince. He discovered Trouville sur Mer in 1825 and he worked all his life for the development of the seaside resort which had become his adopted town. He appeared at the salon from 1824 to 1861, first class medal in 1837. His work is mainly turned towards the Normandy coast and scenes of everyday life marked by great realism. Here we can discover a return from fishing on foot of two women and a child, accompanied by men returned from the sea .. We can note the details of the equipment and the costumes, as well as the magnificent colors of a sunset sky . This subtle composition is reminiscent of contemporary Dutch masters or even certain characters from "Lacroix de Marseille".
