Michel CRESSON (1709 - after 1773)
Carpenter in office -
He obtained his master's degree on August 30, 1740.
Brother of Louis and part of a very famous family of cabinetmakers, he also distinguished himself in the manufacture of chairs. He only followed in the footsteps of his elder brother and reproduced many of his models. He nevertheless remains an eminent master cabinetmaker.
His workshop was located in the rue de Cléry, under the Gros-Chapelet sign.
After the death of his brother Louis Cresson, he was called upon to supply works for the furnishing of the Prince of Condé at the Palais-Bourbon and at the Château de Chantilly.
