These two statues respond to each other in their graceful “contrapposto”: magnificently sculpted specularly, their resemblance and their differences make them two original sculptures. Beautiful oval faces with youthful expression and almond-shaped eyes, the pair swing in a harmonious, soft and wavy movement of the body and draperies, fluid and intertwined, with a very dramatic and forceful style result. The qualitative level of this work is remarkable, both in the virtuous pose of the characters and in the expressiveness of the anatomical data.
