We have a lion's muzzle on acanthus leaves bearing an Ionic volute. These consoles originally adorned a woodwork or opening uprights. This pair of consoles is in fact a console from the Louis XIV period and a console from the 19th century. As often, to reconstitute a pair or to create it we reproduced the initial model. The work was done in the ornamental spirit of the 18th century, if the sculptures are identical, the lions each look in an opposite direction, and the volutes of foliage in the lower part are also opposite, it is the barely visible attention to detail! The consoles were re-gilded with the leaf and soclées.

Good condition, restored, the oldest console is narrower in depth. This is not seen in a situation. Some old chips on the volutes.
