Splendid pair of Louis XVI candlesticks in sterling silver from the famous Parisian master silversmith Jacques Famechon.
Rather known for his production of very refined oil cruets and mustard pots, Jacques Famechon delivers with this pair of sumptuous candlesticks thé irrefutable proof of his know-how.
Built on a traditional plan still deeply Louis XV, our torches are richly decorated with an abundance of decorative elements typically Louis XVI.
They are hallmarked inside the binets and inside the feet with the Paris hallmark for small works, a cow's head discharge, the annal letter L crowned for the year 1774 and the hallmark of master goldsmith JF crowned. They have posterior bobeches which follow the same plan as that of the bases of the candlesticks. They weigh 1130 grams.
