Beautiful mantel garniture of open worked baskets on piedouches in the Rocaille style. Lots of movement in the white porcelain, enhanced with beautiful gildings. Green colored rim inside of the baskets. Signed by the porcelain manufacturer 'Cappellemans in Brussels'.

Size: H 30cm, W 40cm for the centre basket / H 20cm and diameter of 26cm for side baskets

Stunning ensemble for the centre of a large table.

The Cappellemans' brothers, already manufacturers in Halle, decide in 1849 to take over the Brussels' manufactory of Faber. The success is immediate and soon the Royal Palace orders tableware to complete the service with the birds of Buffon, delivered 30 years earlier by Faber himself. Mainly active in tableware, although some figures and statues must be mentioned as they are of high quality.
